James
Trustee (UK)
James holds a degree in Marketing and has over 20 years’ experience as a bid manager within the construction industry. With a strong commercial mindset and a natural ability to communicate clearly, James enjoys the challenge of shaping contracts which give back to the communities in which construction is taking place.
Outside of work, James is a keen table tennis player and regularly competes in a local league. He has his own table, complete with a table tennis robot, set up in his garage.
James first connected with Biojemmss through Siân, whom he knew from York Elim when she attended as a student. Over the years, it has been inspiring to follow the Biojemmss journey and witness how the ministry has grown, remained faithful to its calling, and continued to impact the lives of vulnerable children in Uganda.
What draws James most strongly to Biojemmss is the opportunity to serve. One of the leaders he greatly respects taught him the importance of using your skills to serve others, and this principle has shaped how he approaches both his professional and personal life.
1 Peter 4:10 (NLT):
“God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.”
James believes that ministry is not confined to a platform but should also be expressed through generous giving, practical support, stewardship, and commitment behind the scenes.
James is passionate about contributing where he can add value, offering his experience, time, and heart in support of Biojemmss’ mission. He is encouraged by the ministry’s bold commitment to care for vulnerable children while openly sharing the message of Christ’s unfailing love, and he is honoured to play his part in the future of Biojemmss.
“I believe God equips each of us with specific skills and experiences, not for our own recognition, but to serve others faithfully. If I can use what I’ve been given to strengthen Biojemmss and support the children and families it serves, then I know I’m being faithful with what God has entrusted to me.”
