Overview
This is an exciting opportunity being offered by Biojemmss for a trainee events and fundraising organiser. The selected candidate will benefit from oversight, support and training from an experienced events manager consultant with the charity, alongside the hands-on experience of helping to organise an event taking place on the 19th October and raise funds. The selected candidate will receive appropriate training for the role.
Volunteering is a rewarding experience where you will meet and work closely with inspiring individuals including the founder of the charity, all whilst having the satisfaction of knowing you will be making a difference to some of the world's most vulnerable children.
Role Description Position: Volunteer Trainee Events and Fundraising Organiser
Location: Remote, you also must be explicitly available to travel to Newport, South Wales for the event (19th October 2024)
Hours: 8 Hours Per Week Minimum, flexible working hours
Duration: We are looking for an individual who can commit to the position from inception (immediate start) until completion of the event ( October 19th October ) Approx 7 months

Role Purpose
The role is to help raise funds for and publicise the work of Biojemmss.
You will be working closely with the Biojemmss’ Events Consultant who will working with you and other volunteers to prepare for the annual Biojemmss Gala taking place on the 19th October.
There may also be possibilities of being involved in wider fundraising activities and work with us for longer than the minimum time period
Key tasks and responsibilities will include:
? Working with the Biojemmss Consultant, Biojemmss CEO and wider volunteers to plan, organise and deliver the Biojemmss Gala
? Completing a variety of tasks involved in the planning and preparation for the event
? Building relationships and links with churches, schools, community groups, businesses, and individuals for the purposes of fundraising longer-term (and for future events) and raising awareness about our work
? Speaking opportunities in your local area
? Grant writing and looking into opportunities to raise funds for the charity
? Other tasks and responsibilities as desired by management for the fulfilment of the
event
